OK, I admit, I have an ugly kitchen. Not fugly, but ugly. The counter is a laminate, which the previous owners exposed to too much water and is uneven. It appears the word 'caulk' wasn't known for the seam that connects the counter to the back splash. Well I know sooner or later, I am going to want to either gut, or freshen the look of the kitchen. So for a kitchen remodel are there any suggestions, ideas, or advice? I have never done a home kitchen remodeling project and am concerned about the cost.
